The cellar is originally that of a former Jesuit monastery in Tramin. The residence itself was built about 400 years ago and was used already by the monks for wine production. The great tradition of the house reveals itself in these subterranean cellars where the wine matures in hand carved oak barrels \u2013 works of art which paint a picture of the importance of wine in the family history.<\/p>\n<p>The most modern cellar technology to meet the highest demands can be found in the newer part of the cellar, including a fermentation cellar finished in 2015. The new addition makes possible even more gentle treatment of the harvested grapes using gravitational principles.
