Bedded in gentle hills, its vineyards profit from the mighty Alpine peaks surrounding them. The interplay of fresh Alpine air and the Mediterranean climate with its intensive sunshine supplies optimal conditions for wine cultivation thanks to cooler night temperatures and warm summer days.<\/p>\n<p>The vineyards of the Wilhelm Walch estate lie in the heart of the Alto Adige wine region in Tramin and Caldaro. They extend along the Mendola ridge, at altitudes between 250m to 700m above sea level, largely on extremely steep locations; a fact that shows in the fresh, precise fruit of the wines. The soil is characterized by Dolomite rock and consists, for the most part, of calciferous, but also sandy and loamy soils.<\/p>\n<p>The vineyards are sustainably cultivated according to the guidelines for environmentally friendly viticulture.
